Tom's SKI Page

I discovered the joy of skiing 2 winter seasons ago. My friend Larry talked me into giving it a shot and now I'm hooked. We went to Peek 'N Peak for my 1st day and I enjoyed it so much that I switched my 4 hour ticket to an annual membership. Then within a week I bought some Elan skis with Salomon bindings. That, along with a pair of Salomon boots that another friend, Chuck, gave to me, completed my initial gear.

Next, I discovered the completely different feel of skiing on short skiis. I bought myself of pair of Salomon Skiblades, Specifically the Aggressive SB8. Now when I want to have fun going through the narrow paths in amongst the trees, I slap on these suckers and go exploring. They're also fun to spin 'round on while going down the normal slopes. Just hafta stop once in while to let the dizzyness wear off. :)

I bought my own Ski boots for my second year of skiing. I went with Nordica T3.2 which has a switch to allow easier walking. I also rented a locker at the Peak to make it alot easier to change into my gear. No more frozen fingers.

Look for me on the slopes during the winter weeks at...
