Just when I thought I was done, I happened upon this quote:

from Autoweek's 2003 Long Term Test Update. The quote is at the bottom of the article, by someone who "has never shied away from driving big trucks". Not only is it nice to see a convert, it echoes a feeling that I'm quite confident that many of us MINI owners have had. I want to drive the road, not float over the top of it.
