I love to go to Garage Sales and Flea Markets but these are open mainly on weekends, and my job requires that I work evenings and weekends.  So on my days off I love to go to Goodwill Shops looking for Books and Games that I can resell on eBay.  I also love Antique Shops, Dollar Stores, Theme Parks, Museums, Festivals, Fairs and Carnivals.    I love to shoot pool, “8 Ball” and “Call-Your-Shot” are my favorites.

Backgammon (I play online at ItsYourTurn.Com)  I first played backgammon in 1973.  I have been teaching backgammon and organizing tournaments since 1978.  I teach backgammon to my fellow employees at Mohegan Sun Casino.   Soon I will be running backgammon tournaments again.  Click here to get on my mailing list.

I have high speed cable-tv Internet (Adelphia).  Two personal computers, HP ScanJet 3970 Scanner, HP LaserJet 4 Printer, Lexmark Z611 Color Inkjet Printer, Canon PowerShot A75 digital camera.

I have a regular passenger car, (1997 Nissan Altima).  It’s all paid for.  65,000+ miles.  I live only four miles away from my job.  Most of my miles are put on when I do the 160 mile round trip to Waterbury/Wolcott to visit my Mother, my brothers, my niece, and my son.

My son is a grown man now:  He graduated college (with high distinction) in May 2004.  He has his career all lined up.  He will be going to graduate school soon, earning his Doctorate by 2011.  I love him and I am proud of who he is and all the things he has already accomplished and things he will accomplish.

Now I live alone (with my two cats) in a condo that I own.  Thermos on the Thames in Norwich Connecticut.  It was the original factory building of the Thermos Bottle Company.  It was converted to condominiums about ten years ago.  It is located on Thames River on the opposite side from Mohegan Sun Casino.  I have a townhouse style condo, i.e. two bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs.  My entire outside wall is window.  It faces the West, and I have a gorgeous view of the Thames River.  Just South of the Chelsea Harbor of Downtown Norwich Connecticut.  I can see the city lights from my windows.   Just South of my condo is Mohegan Sun Casino.  I cannot see it from my window because of a bend in the river.  Boats are able to come up Long Island Sound and into the Thames River, and dock all the way into the Marina in Norwich.

Condo Life is so much better.

I’ve had more than my share of owning houses.

No more mowing the lawn. No more raking the leaves.

No more trimming the hedges. No more shoveling the snow.

No more painting.  No more mopping up flooded basements.
