If you are from Appalachia and are gay, you may see yourself reflected surely, but perhaps refracted slightly, since all of our stories are different, and that difference makes all the difference. If you are not gay, you are especially welcome also to read and discover both samenesses and unlikenesses, for growing up is hard for everyone. But this site is especially designed for young people growing up right now in this country's small towns or in a village in Appalachia, where, if you are that young person, you may think you are the only one like you in the world.
