Bishop Joseph and the Family Life Office cordially invite all couples celebrating their 1st, 25th,
40th, 50th, 55th, and 60+ Wedding Anniversary in 2006 to attend the Thirty-Seventh Annual
Anniversary Day Liturgy. You may attend either Sunday, September 17 at the Cathedral in
Altoona or Sunday, October 1 at Saint John Gualbert Cathedral in Johnstown. Locations are
both handicap accessible. Both liturgies begin at 2:00 p.m. Bishop Joseph will be the celebrant
and homilist at each celebration. Punch and cookies will be available after the mass for
anniversary couples and their families. Reservations must be made through your parish priest
for either celebration by Tuesday, Sept. 5.

CCD REGISTRATION: Register you child (K-12) for the 2006-07 session by returning the attached form by Sept. 3. Letters and schedules will be mailed out to those registered by Sept 3. There will be no parent meeting this year. CCD will start on Sept 24 from 9-10:15am.

CATECHIST NEEDED: We are in need of an 8^th grade Catechist. There will be a meeting for Catechists and helpers on Sunday, Sept 10 at 9am. If you are interested in working with the youth of our Parish, please attend this meeting.

PARISH SPAGHETTI DINNER: We will sponsor a spaghetti dinner on Thursday, Sept. 28 from 4-7pm in the Church Hall. Letters and tickets have been mailed. If you did not receive your letter, please let us know. Funds from this dinner benefit our building fund program. Additional tickets and children’s tickets can be obtained by calling Dee Fyock at 495-9368. Help is needed, please return the sign-up form from the bottom of the letter with the times you are available.

KITCHEN CLEANING: Christian Mothers will be cleaning the kitchen on Thursday, September 7 after the 9am Mass. Everyone, men and women, are welcome to come and help. Bring rags and bucket with you.

SECOND COLLECTION: Next weekend the second collection will be for the Catholic Univ. of America. Envelopes are included in your box.
