This website is dedicated to my hobbies, family and
career. The main focus is on my home brewing setup and the
"progress" on my Triumph Spitfire restoration, currently my primary
hobbies. Career and family occupy the majority of my time, so hobby time
is limited. Physically, I average one day a week on my car and much less
for home brewing. Mentally, however, both are frequent distractions that I
enjoy during the evenings. Family is what it's all about, so check out the
link. I will update the Spitfire Restore link and the
Homebrewing link often...or at least as often as I can.
My brother, Tony, and I are involved in the family
business. Since this is a personal site, here's a link to Valk
Industries, Inc. We specialize is plastic thermoforming, thin-walled
and thick-walled paper tubes, packaging, and custom assembly with a strong
attention to quality, service, and flexibility.
Below are a few
words of wisdom, satire, or opinion. In any case, they are quotes that
should make you go "Hmm?".
Famous Quotes
 | "The total number of stars in the universe is greater than all the
grains of sand on all the beaches of the planet Earth." --Carl Sagan |
 | "My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable
superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to
perceive with our frail and feeble minds. That deeply emotional
conviction of the presence of a superior reasoning power, which is
revealed in the incomprehensible universe forms my idea of God."-- (Quoted
in the New York Times obituary for Albert Einstein, April 19, 1955) |
 | "Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet
there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending,
ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey.
But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the
climb".--Sir Winston Churchill |
 | "Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short
phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it
stops moving, subsidize it."--Ronald Reagan |

 | "Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible."
--Lord Kelvin, president, Royal Society, 1895 |
 | "Everything that can be invented has been invented."
--Charles H. Duell, Commissioner, U.S. Office of Patents, 1899. |
 | "This 'telephone' has too many shortcomings to be seriously
considered as a means of communication. The device is inherently of no value
to us."--Western Union internal memo, 1876. |
 | "Computers in the future may weigh no more than 1.5 tons."--Popular
Mechanics, forecasting the relentless march of science, 1949 |
 | "There is no reason anyone would want a computer in their

Favorite movie quotes:
From Men In Black
 | 1500 years ago, everybody "knew" that the earth was the center of
the universe. 500 years ago, everybody "knew" that the earth was flat.
And 15 minutes ago, you "knew" that humans were alone on this planet.
Imagine what you'll "know" tomorrow.
|
 | A PERSON is smart. PEOPLE are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know
it.
|
Armageddon
 | You know we're sitting on four
million pounds of fuel, one nuclear weapon and a thing that has 270,000 moving
parts built by the lowest bidder. Makes you feel good, doesn't it?--(In reference to
