The filming of Discovery's "Monster Hunters"

Well... if we thought the first one was hellish, this one was the Underworld for sure! The filming took place over several days. The crew was Canadian. Much cheaper than Fox, too. :-) They only fed us a couple of times. The filming took about a week to finish.

We were in Leeds Point just about every day. For the most part, we did similar things to the Fox special. Showing the same spots, talking about the same stuff. Harry Leeds is even in this one, too. They got a little bit of stuff from Ray Miller and Jim McCloy, but we didn't get to meet them this week.

The crew actually came to one of my rehearsals with my band and filmed us then too. That's right, you'll get to see Adam's Ghost on the next documentary (so long as they don't cut it). We did some ambulance sequences too, since we all worked for Alert Ambulance at the time. Anything that looks stupid, all I can say is they made us do it!

It's funny, at one point they wanted to get a sequence where we'd be running. All of us sternly put our feet down, stating "we don't run out of the woods". If only we'd known that Fox was going to show me running. I'd forgotten I even did that!

This filming was a little more interesting than the first, for Jersey Devil activity. We found tracks within 15 minutes of their making. The directors were freaked, since they kept hearing hooves around us. And of course, we had to scare the crap out of the producer (who locked herself in the van while we were shooting and wouldn't come out) by sneaking up on her and making low growling noises into our microphones.

I'll probably have more to report once we actually see the show. Hopefully I won't have to explain myself the way I did the last time... We'll see. "Monster Hunters" airs this spring, I'll let you know.
