Some people have claimed to see the Jersey Devil walking along the beaches of New Jersey with a headless pirate and a girl in a white, flowing dress... The Jersey Devil has also been seen with the "white stag". According to legend, this may be the same white stag that supposedly appeared before the Quakers to warn them of a bridge ahead that had collapsed during a storm. (This was the bridge known as the Quaker Bridge.) It seems absurd, yet there have been several sightings like that... Could all of our local legends be colliding? Or is the Jersey Devil lonely?
