It is quite common that, in hunting cases, the "hunters" become the "hunted"... this may be another case. Some strange, unexplainable things have been happening to us recently, and quite honestly they have completely spooked us all. The first wierd thing to happen to us was the night of Devil Hunt #2. Right before all of the strange things began happening, we were suggesting a few theories and coming up with a few connections that we have never noticed before. For instance, we had just brought up the idea that, oddly enough, within the past month we have had sightings in the proximity of every Devil Hunter's house. The next thing we know, strange things happened and the rest of the night became a hunt.

The night after, Jim was at home around 10pm, working outside on his truck. Across the street from his house is a block of woods. While sitting out there, he heard similar noises to the night in Toms River. He went inside his house to change for work, and when he returned he discovered several deep scratches on the body of his truck. One of the sets of scratches was 4 parallel scratches, almost as if they were made by a set of claws. Later on that night, we examined Shawn's car (Wacker One), and found similar scratches... my car and Mike's car had nothing. Interestingly, Jim's and Shawn's cars were the only ones used on expeditions.

That very same night, Mike dropped me off from work. After leaving me, he heard the sound of knocking on his passenger side window. There was no one there. When he arrived at his house, the neighborhood dogs were going crazy and he thought he heard a strange sound from behind him.

This next incident is amazing... right before Devil Hunt #3, when we were about to enter the woods (right before hearing the screech), I stopped to make a phone call. I was on the phone, while Jim and Mike were sitting in the parking lot. Jim saw a large shadow glide across the ground, which appeared as though it had wings (like a huge bird). He looked up into the air, and saw nothing. Mike then told Jim that he had also seen the shadow, and was surprised to find no form in the air creating it.

After these recent incidents, our minds have been churning like crazy. Perhaps this creature is more than what we give it credit for. Perhaps it is very intelligent, or has an excellent sense of smell. Perhaps it is chasing us. Maybe we have become the Devil Hunted... Our trip to Jackson was a test of that theory, in fact. We figured that if it knew who we were, and we set ourselves out in the woods with no one else around, then perhaps it would come. No such luck. Maybe that theory is a stretch, who knows. You can't blame us for being worried though.
