I am starting to build this car. Lotus 7 Clone with Ford Turbo 4 Power. This car is called a Locost short for Low Cost.   I am now acquiring the parts to build it. I have purchased a 1988 Turbo 4, 5 Speed Transmission, Rear End, Rack & Pinion, Front Spindles & Brakes and 3.55 Rear End & Brakes. I just got the metal for my Locost! The metal is stock length from  Industrial Tube and Steel in Akron, Ohio

Speedways Motors has these neat polyurethane insert Rod Ends.

This could give adjustable links for the suspension without the hard ride of a conventional Steel Bearing Rod End.

Maybe I will build a cross between the Locost 7 and the Indy Roadster design. The Ford Turbo-4 is a very tall engine so the Indy nose might look good.
