Committee
Reports:
Building Committee: Dan Weygandt reported that
one application for a garage has been received. A letter was sent to a KHA
owner about building a garage on their property where there is no house.
Waterfront: Steve Fisher reported that the float
in the swimming area would be removed tomorrow.
Dock Master: Ron Kostka reported that the docks
were taken in after Columbus Day.
Manager Report: Bill Hancock reported on the
water tests that were performed on a few houses that tested high for copper.
The water source was satisfactory. The problem is most likely in the home
itself. A motion to accept the manager’s report was made by PeterSilva and
seconded by Jeff Witherell. The motion passed.Old Business: none
New Business: The beach cleanup was not done
because the water level of the lake was too high. The cleanup will be done in
the spring. The complaint about the lights from our beach was taken care of.
The light is shut off the the season. Other lights are on a sensor.
Price Hutchins asked about the watercraft on the
beach. Can we prevent snowmobiles from going on the boardwalk and from going
near the canoe racks? The concern was damage the snowmobles might cause. The
area will be blocked off and a sign posted advising snomobiles to stay on the
marked trails. Bill Hancock will call the Easy Riders Club of Bridgton to
inform them of this.
Charlie Lovern reported from the Neighborhood
Watch Committee. The Bridgton area will be divided up and there is a town
ordinance to keep disorderly houses from causing noise. The house will be
fined. The Police will go to the house. The Neighorbood Watch Committee meets
twice a month on Wed. at the Town Hall. Most of the concerns are with the town
neighborhoods.
This committee received a complaint from a KHA
owner who felt that the police don’t respond to KHA calls. Charlie reported
that more police drive bys occur in summer. Lighting: Bob Gelles is concerned
about the lighting on the docks. He feels the lights prevent thefts and the
lights serve to protect our common property. He feels the pole light should be
on all year long to protect the canoe and boats on the racks. A short
discussion ensued.
The issue of where to place the new water pipe on
Fox Crossing was discussed. It was suggested that the new piping be placed on
the side of the street where there are no telephone poles. This would make the
installation cheaper.
Peter Silva made the motion to adjourn at 9:14
a.m. Jeff Witherell seconded.
The meeting adjourned.
Respectfully submitted: Marilyn Salerno, acting
clerk
