Welcome

Troop 1 was first chartered in 1910, the year Robert Baden-Powell originated Boy Scouts on
Brownsea Island off the coast of England.  Troop 1 has a long and storied history in Cayuga
County Council.

Troop 1 is committed to the main ideals of scouting; character development, citizenship, and
mental and physical fitness.  Through our program we instill these timeless values in our boys.
We strongly believe that these ideals will foster and develop young men with the requisite
skills and knowledge to be leaders in what ever endeavors they pursue.
