The United States
Boxer Association (USA-BOX) is an organization that is
dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting the
working dog heritage of the Boxer breed. Founded in 1992
as the WBAA, the
objectives of the organization are:
1.
To preserve, promote and exhibit the working character of the Boxer in the
United States. 2. To preserve the Boxer in accordance with the breed standard as working
dogs. 3. To promote and encourage the training and use of the Boxer for work that
is consistent with the breed, including tracking, obedience and protection
work, and in other ways for which working dogs are utilized. 4. To conduct a Working Boxer Championship of the Year schutzhund trial. 5. To conduct European-style breed shows which evaluate the conformation of
the Boxer as a working breed. 6. To conduct other activities for which the Boxer is suitable including,
but not limited to, ZTP breed suitability tests, AD endurance tests, agility
trials, and training or breeding seminars. 7. To develop a Breed Registry for the Working Boxer in the United States. 8. To promote humane treatment and training methods, and to support
responsible dog ownership and breeding practices, and encourage
sportsmanship among owners, breeders and fanciers of the Boxer. 9. To publish a magazine to advance the objectives of the USA-BOX. 10. To maintain an open dialogue with all clubs sharing similar objectives,
national and international, while insuring the autonomy of the USA-BOX.

T he
United States Boxer Association is proud to be the official United States
representative Boxer club for the Association Technique Internationale du
Boxer (ATIBOX), the world Boxer organization. The ATIBOX recognizes only one
club from each member country. Our club was admitted because of our
organization’s strong desire to preserve the working nature of the breed
through participation in working dog trials, and our recognition of the FCI
standard for the Boxer as our official breed standard.
We are also the Boxer breed representative in the American Working Dog
Federation (AWDF), a working dog organization in the United States. The AWDF
is made up of representative clubs for many of the working breeds, including
German Shepherds (USA), Dobermans (UDC), and Rottweilers (USRC). AWDF offers
our members additional opportunities to participate in national, and
international working trials, as well as the camraderie of other working dog
enthusiasts. The United States Boxer Association
offers
its members a variety of activities. Performance trials include schutzhund,
tracking, obedience and agility. We sponsor European-style conformation
shows and ZTPs (breed suitability tests) using German Boxer Klub judges. We
hold training seminars featuring internationally recognized trainers and
competitors.
