Server:
Once you have installed your software you will want to connect to the IrCQnet IRC Network. Type /server irc.icq.com in any window.
After the connection is made, type /join #scouting in any window.
Register:
Now that you have found us, it would be beneficial to register your nick. Type /nickserv register password. The password will be one you choose. Please remember it.
After you have registered your nick, every time you log on you must now type /nickserv ID password. Again - your personal password. We will be able to help some of you to make ID automatic. It depends on the software you use.
For the first few weeks you will be able to see who the ops are. They are the people with @ in front of nick. They will help you in setting up IRC or answering any questions you might have.
