About the Artist
Cathleen
developed her love of art at an early age, drawing for hours at a time. As a
young child, she knew that being an artist was the direction her life would
take.
Starting private art lessons in her youth, she continued with her studies at
the University of Massachussetts in Dartmouth with a concentration in Illustration.
Cathleen has also studied figure drawing at The New England School of Art and
Design.
As she continued to develop her skills her interest and inspiration changed
to the natural landscapes, seascapes, still life, and figures she now passionately
paints. Her painterly and expressive approach has allowed her to bring out vibrant
colors that create a unique impression of her art. Her desire is to inspire
the viewer of her art to see the pleasure of everyday life.
She is currently an Artist-Member at East Colony Fine Art in Manchester, NH.
Her artwork can be seen in juried art shows and exhibits in New Hampshire, Massachusetts,
and Maine.
Cathleen resides in Londonderry, NH with her husband Jim and two boys Eric and
Jackson. She is an avid runner with two whippets and a greyhound that keep her
busy.
