| After what has seemed like an eternity, Ken's much awaited
for visit to New Hampshire finally took place. We had been apart for almost
four months and will not do that again. We are already talking about our
plans for visits for the rest of this year and also planning how Ken can
move here permanently.
Ken arrived in NH on June 28 and I met him at the airport in Boston. We were busting at the seams and hugged the stuffing out of each other. Ken had to head back to Butte on July 8th. It was an absolutely wonderful visit and it reassured us both of how much in love we are. We are already missing one another so very very much. |

It was not long before we were enjoying the beautiful
weather in NH. Here we are comfortable on the deck doing a little relaxing
and soaking in the summer sun before we got working on the big birthday
party we had planned for Mom's 90th.
The mountain laurel was busting out, the skies were blue and the days were long.

![]() One of our favorite places here at the lake is the Common Man restaurant that we got to twice. The first visit was with a bunch of the family and some friends. As always, we had a good time and some good food. |

We shared a delicious and fattening ice-cream puff for dessert.... after all we were on vacation :) |
We also tried our hand at a few games as we took it easy in the casual atmosphere of the lounge. Here is Kenny doing his best at Jinga. | ![]() |
| Here I am sitting next to my Ken and looking a lot like
twins. Well... at least in the way that we are dressed.
We really did have so much fun no matter what it was that we were doing. We both have a way of acting like kids. |

We had a lot of work to do as well to get ready for the
company and for Mom's birthday party. Of course, working together was fun
like everything else.
Here I am up on scaffolding washing windows in the peak of the great room and Ken is working on the trim on a door that was replaced. He's a pretty good carpenter.

We had fun getting ready for Mom's birthday party and we put our artistic talents to work as you can see here on this fruit platter. It would appear that Ken and I really enjoy working in the kitchen |
We had a total of 46 guests for the party and everything was just perfect but as Ken pointed out, it was the guests that made it that way. We all had a wonderful time and I got a chance to show off my Kenny to many friends and to those in my family that had not met him yet. One of the things we came to realize is that we were just Jim & Ken and totally accepted and loved by all. |

When all was said and done, we were very pleased with
the wonderful birthday party. Ken and I also realized that we enjoy this
entertaining and I suspect that we will be doing some more of this in the
future.

We found the log where we had carved our initials last year and decided to do an update. |

We also went to the Flume when we were at Franconic notch and we hiked the trail through an ancient gorge and marveled at God's beauty all around us.

One of the treats we had was a wonderful meal and a good time when we went to my favorite restaurant, the William Tell. We both had Wiener Schnitzel and lots and lots of good talking |

The last night we were together, we went to the Barnstormers in Tamworth, New Hampshire to enjoy a musical review "Jacque Berl is alive and well in Paris". A fun night. |
