The 1950's

The 1950's began with Coach James Kelly coaching his fifth and final season of his second stint as the Mansfield High School Football Head Coach. In total he coached Mansfield for 10 seasons. James Kelly is 2nd on the list of most wins by a Mansfield Coach. The 50's would end with a Championship and the first ever undefeated season for the Green Hornets. That team was coached by the #3 man on the list of most wins by a Mansfield Coach, Bill Parsons. For the decade Mansfield finished 51-27-9 (.638), their best winning percentage until the 1990's and second in number of wins only to the 1930's prior to the 1990's.
