Abandoned Mines of Colorado Springs
and El Paso County:
Mountain View Mine
I visited this mine shaft in Oct. 2003. A sewer drain manhole is located suspiciously close to where the shaft should be. I don't know enough about mining operations to explain why three shafts are located in the same place. Any input out there?
