I have two passions in my life, children and poetry, and the deep rooted belief that we are all in some way responsible for the safety and well being of the children in our community.  It is through my pursuit of my second passion, and an intense desire to better the lives of my first, that this web site has come about. 

My poetry allows me to express my frustrations, my fears, and my hopes relating to the plight of our children.  When I see a story on the news of child abuse, or the needless loss of a child, the anger and sadness are so intense that I feel as if my heart will break.  Writing poetry is my way of dealing with the ache that I feel.
