Hunter : The Reckoning is "a storytelling game about real people. ... This game is about the horror of living a mundane, everyday, blue-collar life and suddenly being confronted with a terrifying, wretched reality : Monsters exist. We are their playthings." (From the Hunter : The Reckoning rulebook, pg. 23)
The Mailing List has been around almost since the game was launched, with the first public post occurring sometime in early November of 1999. That version of the List (hosted by White Wolf itself) eventually succumbed to the sheer volume of mail, and died in late July of 2000. After a period of three weeks, the hunter-net-v2 list was launched on egroups as an interim measure. That incarnation of the List lasted until late October, when White Wolf resurrected the Mailing List on more stable servers. The List has been hosted by White Wolf continuously since then.
Since the beginning, the List members have focused on telling stories based on Hunter : The Reckoning, and it shows. Come join us on the List, and experience Hunter-Net.
