Here's the Breezin' Crew!
Rich
Rich

Also known as 'the boat owner', Rich had been racing on other boats for years until in a fit of insanity, he made the jump from crew to skipper when he bought Breezin'. Special skills include the ability to keep his cool when the crew screws up, the perfection of numerous "breezin" techniques, and ... and ... and, well to be quite honest we are still trying to figure out if he has any other skills. We've now found one of Rich's best skills - spitting off the back of the boat while in the starting sequence!

Dolores
Dolores

The boat owner's wife and the real financial backing behind Breezin'. Special skills include asking questions during a critical tack or set thereby annoying the skipper, making sure the boat is stocked with food and beverages, and the ability to grind a winch whenever there is less than 10 knots of air. Favorite things to do during a regatta include saying "BITE ME!" and giving the competition that extra secret hand gesture on the race course.

Tommy

Tom

Our tactition & trimmer and all-around kind of crew member (meaning he will work any position the skipper tells him), Tom has been part of the Breezin' team since we got the boat. Special skills include homemade beer making, taking cell phone calls from his wife during races, and having a friend who works for Harken. Favorite quote - 'Your beer looks empty!'.

Steve

Steve

Steve is a great all around crew, he will do whatever needs to be done. He also is known for always bringing the beer! Steve just bought into another boat so he'll be racing his T-10 in club races but will be joining us for regattas.

Kathy

Kathy

Kathy - The Queen of Solid Waste! Kathy is jib and main trimmer and fills in on pit whenever necessary. Kathy has also learned the hard way (in fact on more than one occasion) that a full night of partying and rough weather regattas don't mix and tends to give her skin a paleish green tint on the race course.

John

John

John does mast and and jib/spinnaker trim. John is known for being the well needed wing man at times. He has a totally twisted sense of humor and really does LIKE girly drinks! He supplies the boat with lots of Mike's hard beverages which is greatly appreciated by the women of Breezin'.

Edele

Edele

Edele (AKA Lefty) is foredeck. She will also migrate towards the back end of the boat as needed, but really likes it up there on the pointy end! Edele holds the priveledge of being the first ever "man overboard" from Breezin' during a recent regatta. A real trouper, we were able to get her back on board and still make the windward mark without having to tack.

Ben C.

Ben

Ben (aka Wa) is another one of our young and athletic crew so he gets assigned all those jobs that we old folks can't do anymore! Ben has a tendency to become very animated and not maintaining a clear distance may result in bodily injury or harm. He also makes fabulous blender drinks (see Breezin' Briefs).

Toni

Toni

Toni is jib and spinnaker trimmer and pit person. Toni makes great cookies for regattas but we usually have to send out someone to find her as she still gets lost on the way to other yacht clubs.

Renae

Renae is another one of our foredeck crew. She takes a lot of ribbing from the guys because of her kneepads. Of course, Renae brags she can handle Breezin's oversized pole just fine!

Mike

Mike

Mike helps out where necessary (jib, spinnaker, pit) but usually ends up on foredeck when we are missing a foredeck person. Mike has been known for some innovative spinnaker sets and jib hoists (Isn't head spelled C L E W?). Mike also has an Elite 285 which is docked right next to Breezin'.

PLEASE NOTE: Breezin' is an equal opportunity M/F boat. The current composition of crewmembers is purely coincidental and is subject to change without notice.....

I have only included the "regular" crew at this time. We are often blessed by the presence of several part time crewmembers and the occasional family member or friend that wants to go for a ride. We are always in search of individuals interested in becoming part of the Breezin' Team. Although helpful, previous sailing experience is not a requirement, if you are atheletic, personable, reliable and willing to learn. Drop us a line and tell us a little about yourself...

This Team is dedicated to performing their best on the race course while having alot of fun! Although an important part of sailing, the consumption of alcohol is primarily a post race activity. If you would like the opportunity to sail on Breezin', email us!
