SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSONS FOR CHRISTMAS

Pastor Bill Clark

There has been very little emphasis about Christmas in the schools and the family since the 1963 Supreme Court Decision taking the Bible and prayer out of the public schools.  As a result of that, Christmas and Easter stories and hymns have about disappeared in the lives of the children, teens and adults in our Sunday School and Junior Church classes. We have decided that we would make sure our children understand the real meaning of Christmas. So we prepared a five lesson series for all of our teachers. The adult Classes and the children's classes all used the same lessons.

This Website has five lessons that can be taught during the time leading up to Christmas. Feel free to use any or all of the lessons as you prepare your church or your class for Christmas. Click one of the above links to go to the lesson you would like to teach.

The following are good ways to be sure you are getting through to your students is:

     1.  Make sure you study your lesson and get it in your heart.

     2.  Review last week’s lesson for 3 - 5 minutes.

     3.  Teach the story in this case about the birth of Jesus.

     4.  Make sure you bring the story to your age group’s level.

     5.  Teach the truths based on the facts of the story.

     6.  Review the story again and teach the truths that apply to their lives.

     7.  Be sure to give an invitation to be saved to those 4 years and up.

     8.  Be sure to explain what salvation is to them.
