The
MOMS Club of Stafford - East, VA is a nonprofit support group for
stay-at-home mothers. The International MOMS Club®
is the only national support
group specifically for stay-at-home moms. The group was founded
in 1983 in California and has grown to include over 1500 chapters
across the country. The main guidelines of our group are:
We
welcome children at all our functions
We
meet during the day when moms need the most support
We
are a nonprofit organization involved in charity work
The MOMS Club of
Stafford - East was founded in July, 2003. The original MOMS Club
of Stafford had to divide into 3 separate chapters due to the growing
number of members. The MOMS Club of Stafford - East services the
area east of Interstate 95 along the Route 1 Corridor to
Route 17. Please refer to the Contact Information page if you do
not live in this area and would like more information.
Our club is involved
in many activities including MOMS night out, Craft Club, charity work,
babysitting co-op,
field trips, and general meetings. The general meetings occur
monthly to discuss club business and upcoming activities. We also
host speakers at these meetings who address such topics as car safety
and child development.
We have a playgroup
coordinator who will place new members into playgroups according to
their children's ages. This provides members and their children a
chance to socialize with others who are experiencing the same things.
It is a great way to make new friends.
