Click for Mount Vernon, Ohio Forecast

Wynkoop Airport is one of the best grass fields in Ohio.

It is located in Colonial Mt.Vernon. The field has a nice wooded area about midway down the runway. The woods have a shelter and picnic tables nearby. It's a great place to relax or picnic. (I have spent many a lunch hour there.) If you like to socialize or want to hear some great hanger stories, you can join the locals on the porch, or just stop and say "Hello!" to Brian Wynkoop , the owner. (FYI, Brian's fuel price is one of the lowest in Ohio). If you are stopping in at night, give Brian a call and he will leave the lights on for ya! (740-392-8351).
