Text Box: M.Y. Carol Ann II
USCG# 1109814

Above, is the Carol Ann II, moored at Isthmus Cove, Catalina Island.  I was the proud skipper of this vessel for five years.  She was purchased new in 2001, and occupied a permanent slip at Alamitos Bay Marina in Long Beach, California.  She is a 2001 Bayliner 285 Ciera, with an LOA of 29'6".  She can sleep six, and has a single 7.4 MPI Mercruiser engine and a Bravo 3 outdrive.  Her maximum speed is about 32 knots, but we would generally cross the San Pedro Channel to Catalina at about 24 knots (about one hour).  She is outfitted with standard electronics including GPS and radar, and has a tender mounted on davits off the swim platform which can ferry four adults ashore in relative comfort.  Belowdeck, amenities included a full galley, dinette, head with shower, forward V-berth and a master midcabin berth.

Her new owners have re-named the vessel, "Dealmaker", and thankfully still allow me to take her out every once in awhile.
