Running Gear Compared to ESCI M4A1 Running Gear.  Hat’s is a little longer.  Is the M4A3 Gear any different in reality?

 

 

The Major flaw with the HaT M4A3 is the Upper Hull does not fit on the lower hull.  The gap can be seen in this picture.  You can solve this problem by some minor plastic surgery.  I opted to replace the kit running gear with a set for the ESCI M4.

Completed Kit with parts from ESCI M4.  Running gear required some trimming to fit.  But I think it looks good.

 

The extra parts from the ESCI Kit adds a lot to the kit.

 

 

I even did some surgery and added a pistol/shell ejection port.  I don’t know why this isn’t included on the kit turret.

 

 

The Finished M4A3 (Except for Paint and Stowage) Compared to the Hat M-10.  Both are fun, simple kits and are accurate enough to upgrade into nice models.
