A New Day

In the morning the birds are singing,

A new day, their voices are ringing.

I must eat my breakfast very fast.

Finishing my pancake, it was my last.

This afternoon I will go to the fair,

Kissing my kitty, I get a mouthful of hair.

As I try to eat my lunch in a hurry,

I realize, my kitty really is furry.

As we go outside to play,

It is a warm and sunny day.

After I eat my supper that night,

I go to bed and turn out the light.
