Cass Scenic Railroad
The sound you are hearing is Cass' #4

The Cass Scenic Railroad is located in Pocahontas County in south east
West Virginia. They depict life as it was on a mountain logging railroad back
in the early 1900's. Using shay locomotives (some of which date back to the
original railroad) you can choose one of two trips up the mountain. We
chose the the longer trip (of course) that travels to the top of the mountain,
which by the way is the second highest peak in West Virginia, called
Bald Knob. The trip about four hours and is worth every minute spent. There
are two layovers, one at Whitaker Station and another at Bald Knob. The
scenery is spectacular and the ride is great. This is probably my most
favorite train ride to date and I hope to go back again. The people in West
Virginia are some of the nicest I've met and really make the trip that
much more enjoyable. The state of WV is also equally beautiful. I'd
recommend this one to anyone.
