"Song for the Cure" (The Ballad of John and LeAnne) was a painful song to compose and ultimately perform. Many tears were shed.  I haven't sung the song since.  I can't.  Yet, it is hope that I wanted to convey.  Hope is what we felt when my son, Nick, and I met John and LeAnne in Detroit for a Bruce Springsteen concert. LeAnne had just begun running again. Indeed, John and LeAnne picked me up with the top rolled down one beautiful evening during her last spring. And just as the song depicts, she poked fun at her bald head from the cancer treatments. We had dinner at Tony Paco's in Toledo. When John and I think back to that night, we are able to smile and cry at the same time.  The front cover of the CD shows my friends on vacation in South Carolina during the long battle.  The back cover captures LeAnne's final moments of life.  This picture was taken by their son, Ryan. Proceeds from the sale of this CD will be donated to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  This is what LeAnne wanted.  As is stated in the opening monologue, "the battle doesn't end." Give the song a listen. Perhaps you've been there. Perhaps you are there. My prayers are with you and God bless.

The Roller Rink SongCLICK TO HEAR MUSICCLICK TO BUY MUSIC

"The Roller Rink Song" (My Little Angel) is a feel good tune that you can skate to. The song is about a shy boy trying to win the attention of a girl who might not know he's alive. The song is currently being played in roller rinks and has received radio air play, usually through the request lines. The reference to "Tommy P." is Tommy Poultney, long-time organist at roller rinks in Chagrin Falls and Maple Heights, Ohio.
