How to make your own

Most people are surprised, shocked even, at how easy it really is to make your own chainmaille. It really isn't hard at all to begin with the basics I have here on this site.
Now, not everyone makes chainmaille the same way. Different methods are thought up all the time by people looing for more speed, easier on the hands and fingers, or as in my case, a way that just seems to *click* in the mind and flows easier. The fish-hook method is that 'one' way that made sense to my backward brain, so that is what I am putting up here along with a description of the most common way taught.

If you check out the links page, you will find a link to a discussion board and a site called M.A.I.L that has TONS of other weaves and methods to try as well.

Example of some 4N1 chain

These are some of the things you will need to get to get started in the craft of making Chainmaille.

This is the 'standard' way to put together 4 in one European weave.

The un-orthadox method of putting together euro 4n1 weave. I use this one for most of my projects.

A very nice jewelry weave that I was lucky enough to get credited for creating.
