SExt.JPG (17881 bytes) The round conservatory was added sometime after the sewer system was upgraded in St. Joseph. We know this based on where the sewer line enters the house. This room has caused the most damage to the house as it has a flat roof which has not held up well. Basically all of the south walls will require extensive brick work.
SWExt.JPG (26751 bytes) This view shows the collapsing wall over the basement window.   This area is now repaired.  Notice the chimney on the 2 story roof.  The metal on the ground should be protecting the stud wall exposed on the Conservatory.
This view highlights the problems with the Conservatory.  Note how it plugs the hole created by the converging roof lines. SEExtBW.JPG (47566 bytes)
Utility room Door and wall.jpg (45239 bytes) The repairs to the brickwork below the window and above the door are apparent to the left.  Also shown is the 3d AC unit.  Below is the final repoint (looks better up close)

This is the repaired flat roof at the conflux of the four parts of the house; conservatory to the right, the 3 story at the back, 2 story on the left and I was standing on the 1 story.  Two new storm windows are also shown.  When purchased, the "roof" ran 12" up onto the right window which is the one into Laura's bath.   The left window was originally the same size but as it intersected the roof line I decided to shorten/raise it by about 3 or 4 bricks. flat roof.jpg (36441 bytes)
