1st Run of Stairs and Second Run of Stairs

| The floors
on the 3d Floor Landing look Superb. All the old dings and gouges are simply
character for these floors which were almost certainly not meant to be exposed floors.
We believe there were old linoleum or oil cloth type coverings on them from the
start. The Stairway with walls!! Starting from the top to the right and we will work down as we paint. The restored door is below. |

The stairway
hall is covered in what we believe is Lincrusta, a type of
textured wallpaper. Probably will not be restored and is completely dry-rotted

| The door on the right has
since been removed to allow room for a bigger master bedroom closet. The left door has been kept for symmetry but will not open again. |

panel made all the difference in the world with the heat and cool of the stairwell.

As a part of the
stair rebuilding, I also repaired the door connecting the 2 and 3 story
parts of the house. It used to match the slope of the beam above the
frame!!
