This shot is from the topside of the beam above Laura's room. The windowthat had caused the problem has been removed. the new beam has 6 2x9in boards bolted together. |
| This is the
new dormer window in the east wall. For some reasons the colors in the photo are not quite
right (probably due to the sunlight streaming in from behind). The addition of stained
glass (Kathy's idea) makes this little space really magical.

 This is the same corner ready for drywall. The box at the bottom left of the window was a vent opening for the original HVAC system (c.a. 1880) |
