I work with the owners and managers
of large and small businesses. Many of my clients are referrals from
existing clients. Attorneys and accountants who are familiar with my
work are also an important referral source for me. Often my work begins
with a review of the employee group health coverage. I work with a dozen
or so different companies and I also counsel clients on the use of,
and provide assistance with, the installation of 125 Plans.
An analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency
of an existing retirement plan is another frequent starting point.
With changes in the law, and new requirements by the I.R.S., much
of the pension business I do is takeover business. Administrative
costs can become disproportionate to the expected benefits, and/or
the existing plan can slip into noncompliance through neglect. Sometimes
the best solution is to amend the plan. At other times it is better
to replace the existing plan with one more suited to the employer's
current financial needs and objectives. |
