Shut Ins: Please call the parish
office to let us know if you are unable to attend Mass.
Holy Communion can be brought by a member of the staff or by Eucharistic
Ministers monthly or weekly if desired.
Hospital Visits: Please call the
Parish Office to be sure we know when you are in the hospital.
Often the local hospital fails to notify us in time for a visit.
Sacraments
Rite
of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.)
Program for Adults who wish
to become Catholic or to learn more about the Catholic Faith;
Meetings take place at 9:05 a.m. Sunday,
Sept. through May in the New School Library
The RCIA Team: Sr. Raymunda Brooks, O.P., Barb Rue, Grace Donaldson, Pam
Townsend, Gene Lamp, Ann Selby, Ashley Brown, and John Haluczik.
Baptism or Reception into Full Communion in the Catholic Church, Confirmation
and First Eucharist are celebrated for Adults at the Easter Vigil each year.
Baptism of Children:
Pre-Jordan Workshop: Instructed by Jeff & Michelle Stair in the
Rectory on the 3rd Sunday of January, March, May, July, September and November
at 12:00 p.m. Both parents are
asked to attend. (This may be done
before the birth of the child).
Baptisms are regularly scheduled 2nd & 4th Sunday of the Month at 12:00 noon, or by special arrangement with pastor or parish deacons.
Preparation
for Sacraments:
Special Programs for First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and
Confirmation are overseen by a joint team from the School and the Religious Ed
Program.

Scheduling
of Weddings at Blessed Sacrament:
The
Sacrament
of Reconciliation (Confession):
Saturdays 4:30-5:30 p.m. or by appointment any time.
Parish
Penance Services are scheduled during Advent & Lent.
The
"Easter Duty" includes a preparation for reception of the Eucharist by
Confession if you are conscious of serious sin.
Don't worry if it has been a long time since your last Confession.
Mention this and the priest will assist you through the form of the
ritual. Remember that Confession is
good for the soul! Don't put off for another year what you can do right now.
The
Anointing of the Sick: Parish celebration of Anointing twice a year
(Winter and Spring) at all weekend Masses.
Anytime by request.
