Our
budget is approximately $3,000 per year for 10 concerts. Currently,
most of our budget comes from free-will donations at our concerts.
We have applied for a grant with which to buy sheet music and scores.
Any supplementary assistance from our donors would help as well.
Additional
money would enable us to purchase music that we cannot borrow from
the public library. This would be helpful because a chamber
orchestra
plays different music from what a symphony orchestras plays,
and most of the library music available is from the NBC Symphony
Orchestra.
Also, extra funds would
enable us to purchase music for our concerto concerts. Currently,
we
often need the soloists to contribute to the purchase of the orchestral
accompaniments
for their works.
Volunteers
are also always appreciated. We are looking for people who can carry
chairs, stuff envelopes, use a copy machine, find sponsors,
research music, use a word processor, find good ways to do
publicity, make phone calls, or set a table. Let us
