Whenever the entry is suspect I checked the entries with the index. In the case of a conflict between my reading of a name and the reading according to the index, the index reading was used. The index does not record events of pages 14, 15, 16 and parts of 17 and many of the index page #'s are wildly incorrect. In many cases there are more than one page numbers on a page and often the year is obviously added after the fact. The year in brackets [ ] means I believe it was added after the fact. The page numbers I put are my best interpertation after consulting the index.
