M104 the "Sombrero" galaxy

      The Sombrero galaxy is located in the constellation of Vigo. It is a bright edge-on spiral with a broad dark lane that can be seen in scopes as small as 3" under excellent sky conditions. Larger scopes in the 8" and up range show the lane fairly easily . This is a twenty five minute exposure on kodak Gold 400 with the 8"scope in skies that were fair but a little on the bright side!
