NGC 4565
NGC 4565 is an edge on galaxy located in Coma Berenices . It is a magnitude 9.6 object that can easily be seen in 3" and up apertures although it takes a 6 inch to see the dark lane running thru the center .This image is an 3X4 min. LRGB taken with an MX7c ccd camera on a Celestron Ultima 11" scope guided by the Star 2000 interface ! The images were acquired ,calibrated and stacked using AA 2.0 then color balance was done in Photoshop 6.0.
