Messier 8 the "Lagoon "nebula located in the constellation Sagittarius is a star factory in progress! This nebula is easily seen without optical aid as a fuzzy patch in Sagittarius even in some light polluted skies ! It is a nice view in small telescopes and binnoculars with a smattering of stars thru-out the field of view. This image is an integration of two ten minute exposures with an MX7c and 11" scope self guided with Star 2000 interface and AstroArt 2.0 at f3.3. The images were flat fielded and dark frame subtracted then color synthesized to create this LRGB !
