M76

M76 also known as the "Cork" or "Little Dumbell" nebula located in the constellation Perseus is a small faint planetary that is not too difficult to pick up with small scopes. It has an integrated magnitude of about 11.4 and is one of the more faint Messier objects in the sky ! This image is an LRGB taken with my ST5C ccd camera. Each image of red, blue, green and luminosity were an integration of 25X20 exposures registered in CCdops software then combined in "Gimp" for windows. A small histogram stretch was done along with a little contrast adjustment for the final image .
