M65 is one of the "trio" galaxies located in Leo. All three can be viewed thru a low power eyepiece in the same field of view although ngc3628 is a little more faint than m66 or m65. This ia a 10 minute integration of twenty images captured using the ST5C ccd camera @ f3.7,11"scope and the "track and accumulate" feature that comes with this camera . The track and accumulate mode takes many short exposures and co-registers them to give the equivelant of one long exposure .I am kind of anxious to try color images but have to get my feet wet with black and white before attempting tri color images.Slightly elongated stars are due to tracking errors I hope to eliminate little by little !
