M2

.....M2 a large globular cluster located in the constellation Aquarius. It is a 6.5 magnitude object that can be seen with 8x50 binnoculars ! In the eyepiece it's a beautiful conglomerate of 13th magnitude stars that fan outward evenly . The globular actually spans around 13' of space and gives a better view as aperture increases ! This image is a composite of 2-four minute exposures and 2-two minute exposures at f3.3 with an 11" scope and MX7c ccd camera guided with Star 2000 interface . All have been dark and flat field corrected in AstroArt 2.0 then combined and finally stretched in Photoshop to bring out more detail !
