The "Sombrero" galaxy located in the constellation Virgo is a bright easy to view galaxy with small scopes ! The dark lane can be viewed in 4" or larger scopes with relative ease even in some light pollution ! This image is a 6x4min. LRGB taken with an MX7c ccd camera and 11" scope @ F3.3 .Guiding was done with Star 2000 interface and AstroArt 2.0 . Processing was done in AA 2.0 . The "curves"function" in Photoshop was used to enhance the detail of the image and darken the background a bit . Also a slight blur was applied for aesthetics reasons .
