M100

M100 is a faint galaxy located in the constellation Coma Berenices. Its spiral structure can be glimpsed using moderate size scopes but to show good definition needs timed exposures. It is a 9.5 magnitude galaxy located in an area of the sky that has many more ! This is an integration of 12 - 20 second exposures taken with my ST5C ccd camera and 11" scope .
