Jupiter

The planet Jupiter the largest of the planets shows quite a bit more detail than this photo does when viewed thru a good scope in "steady air" .If you look closely at lower right of center you can see some of the detail I am talking about. This photo was taken with the 11" scope in calm air using eyepiece projection at f65 on Kodak Gold ASA 100. I used the "hat-trick" to eliminate any vibration that may have been created by opening and closing the shutter. The exposure time was 2 seconds!
