M1 x MX7c

A twenty minute self-guided exposure using a Starlight Xpress MX7C cdd camera on an 11"Celestron and Star2000 self guiding interface at f6.3. The moon was a factor in this view which is a testament to the incredible sensitivity of the MX7c camera. The Star 2000 interface is one of the latest innovations created by Terry Platt of Starlight Xpress ! It works extremely well keeping guiding at under 1 pixel for the most part especially with my fork mounted scope which is not exactly top of the line. The guiding is done right thru the ccd image frame which makes it real easy to find a guide star and eleminates the need for a guide scope entirely !
