The "Crab" nebula

The 'Crab" nebula in Taurus the bull is the remains of a supernova that was visible back in 1054AD. It was the first of 110 {M1 thru M110}objects observed by Charles Messier that he compiled into a list with coordinance so that they would not be mistaken for comets while he was scanning for comets! This photo was taken with the 8" scope on Kodak 400 Gold for 21 min. in fair skies at f6.3.
