Hi all,
My name is Selene Tawny. Selene
for the Greek Moon Goddess, I've always felt drawn to the Moon, Tawny
means mountain lion in Native American, the mountain lion is my totem
animal.
I have been following this ancient
path for about six years now. When I started on this path I read the
usual books that folks tell you that you should read and attended festivals.
I did this for about 4 years and I felt I wasn't getting enough information,
sure I read the books but I still had questions that books just weren't
giving me. I was then found by Triskele Rivers Grove, I attended one
of their worships and one of their High Days. I felt very drawn to this
Grove and it's people. During my time with Triskele Rivers Grove, I
started my dedicants program. The dedicants program is a starter base
for a student, it helps you learn the basics like visualization, meditation,
ritual and learning about the history of your chosen path. I did get
this part of my education finished, I am now going a step farther by
enrolling into the ADF Study Program. Also during my time with Triskele
I earned the Sacrificer position, in which I would make the offerings
to the Kindreds. After a time in this position, I then earned the position
of Grove Warrior, in which I performed the Fire part of our ritual.
I am now a member of the Dedicants
of the Mystic Ash, which is located near Eastgate in Ohio. I am married
and have two children, my spouse is also a member along with one of
my children. I am into the educational and spiritual side of the ancient
path that I am travelling, I do make mistakes but most of the time I
learn from them, sometimes it takes more than once but not very often.
Our group offers many avenues of learning which is what drew me to this
in the first place.
