Marriner Hall

Marriner Hall, on the first floor of the 1970-71 addition, was dedicated in 1977 to long time society president Ernest C. Marriner.  The room contains Victorian furniture from the family of Marjorie Meader Burns, and houses two china cabinets displaying early china and glass.  In evidence are Waterville's first piano, an E. Willard tall clock, an important early quilted coverlet, and portraits from the family of Dr. Moses Appleton, Waterville's first physician, and other early paintings and furniture.  Marriner Hall is used for meetings and social functions of the Society, and is available to local organizations for a nominal charge by arrangement with the society.
